Hajj Law

The obligation to perform Hajj is mandatory for Muslims who are capable, as Allah Subhanallahu Wa Ta'ala says in Surah Ali-Imran verse 97, explaining that Hajj is obligatory for those who are able and is performed once in a lifetime.

It means: In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds. (QS. Ali-Imran: 97)

The Hajj rituals begin at the start of the month of Shawwal and continue until before dawn on the night of the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah to perform the recommended acts of Hajj. Then, the obligatory rituals are performed on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah every year.
